In the early 1900s, Saichi “Immortal” Sugitomo, a former Russo-Japanese War veteran, lived a hard life during the postwar gold rush in Hokkaido’s wild lands. He sets out on a deadly journey to claim the hidden Ainu gold treasure after finding a secret map. However, he knows that he is not the only one hunting for it; everyone who knows about it is willing to kill to claim it. Encountering the harsh northern wilderness, lethal criminals, and rebellious Japanese soldiers, Sugimoto must rely on his skills, fate, and the guidance of Asirpa, an Ainu girl.
