The mythical fire-fighting samurai, who once stopped a massive fire, was called the “Fire-Eating Bird”. Matsunaga Gengo has earned this title and is also known as the best firefighting samurai of Edo. Due to some personal reasons, he resigned from the fire brigade. But one day, he gets a job offer from the Shinjo clan. The firefighting team of the Shinjo clan is poor, lacks manpowers, and is often treated disrespectfully.
